Fr. Raymundo “Francis” Espiga, F.I. has been appointed as Associate at Our Lady of Loretto Church and St Columban effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

Born and raised in Camiguin Island, Mindanao, Philippines, on March 30, 1975, Raymundo Espiga Jr. from his early years felt called to the priesthood. Finally, after much prayer and searching, he found the right community to enter, the Religious Congregation of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate (FFI). He was invited to observe their lifestyle for one week. On just the very first day, he felt the peace and joy that he had never experienced before. After a one-week observation period in March 1998, he decided to join the FFI Congregation. He underwent the three-year spiritual formation until his religious profession on May 25, 2001. Four months later on September 2001, he was sent to Italy for priesthood study.

Raymundo Espiga Jr. was ordained as Father Francis in Rome, Italy, on March 31, 2008.

His first assignment was in Comacchio, Ferrara, Italy from August 2008 to August 2011. He was subsequently assigned in Buenos Aires, Argentina from November 2011 to December 2014. His third assignment was back in Florence, Italy from December 2014 to February 2016. Most recently, his fourth assignment took him to the United States in Long Beach, California under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles at St. Lucy Parish from July 1, 2016 through July 1, 2019.

As his fifth assignment he has been appointed as Associate at Our Lady of Loretto Church and St Columban effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.
